Song Bird MIFGS Achievable Garden 2016

It is a harmonious space where you can step into another work inhabited by the local wildlife, feeling a sense of calm and connectedness.
Garden sizes are getting smaller, but this shouldn’t impact upon the feel of your garden or the safe haven that can be created for the local wildlife, who need this as a way to combat their fast diminishing natural habitat.
Focusing on a multi-layering of Australian native plants and some exotic plants, this is a contemporary spin designed to attract local birdlife, butterflies and other wildlife.
This space is all about creating a garden that allows you to connect to nature whilst enjoying the benefits this has on your health and well being.

The Bush Friendly Garden, Floriade 2015

The Bush Friendly Garden is an educational display garden created and run by ACT Parks and Conservation Service with support from environmentally conscious volunteers from within the Canberra community. The addition of the FormBoss Garden Edging into our garden was one of the new features that helped to draw more than 20,000 people into the garden over the month of Floriade. From the outset of construction of the garden I, as Project Manager, was impressed with how easy it was to install – from joining, bending for smooth curves then driving the spikes into the ground. The edging was the interface between the garden bed and a recycled brick surface which I plate compacted every day. Your edging took this harsh treatment and remained solid and attractive every day. Many people inquired about the edging, commenting on its simple style and how it complimented the native garden theme. We thank everyone at FormBoss who made the task of sourcing your stock very easy.

We look forward to continuing our association with FormBoss not only for the Bush Friendly Garden at Floriade but for any future events we are involved with.

Sincerely

Phillip Withers & Semken Landscaping WIN Silver

This year we offer you a garden that celebrates food, inviting you to step into the forest, feeling like Adam and Eve, as apples, berries and a cornucopia of fresh food surround you with delicious temptations. It’s a feast for the senses as you wander through the smell of rich lavender, and stoop to pick fresh basil en route to the outdoor kitchenette. There’s a new story at every turn as you come back into the forest to celebrate the evening meal at your picnic table. While you’re relaxing, the kids scurry off to play with nature, feeding the chickens and picking fresh veggies as dusk envelops you…

The Crossroads by Ben Newell

This Achievable Garden has been designed to recreate a quiet secluded space in the Australian wilderness. Utilizing

old and recycled elements withing the space, a vintage setting is created for effect.

Featuring a mixed planting scheme of different colours and textures, with added elements sourced locally from the Mallee district and surrounds, give the scen effect and a unique atmosphere. Two paths leading from separate sides of the garden, meeting at a place within, giving the design its function as well as a philosophical connotation, “The Crossroads”.
